New Owner of Walt Disney Estate in Los Feliz represented by The New School Agents to restore historic property and make it their own Happiest Place on Earth!
The Los Feliz estate that Walt Disney built for himself in 1932 has found its prince (or princess) and a happy ending, selling over asking after only about a month on the market. Jody Margolis, the buyer’s agent, couldn’t tell us much about the buyer, but did say that whoever it is “has a deep respect for the Disney legacy and is planning on restoring the house.”
Located on a one-acre lot in the Los Feliz hills, the historic four bedroom, five bath French Normandy-style home was built by Walt Disney in 1932, and features painted ceilings, vaulted beamed ceilings, original stained leaded glass, billiards room, sleeping porch, swimming pool, and early on this modern trend – a projection/screening room. Check out the virtual tour and here’s a 1940 Better Homes & Gardens article about the property from a Danish blog called A. Film L.A.
